The exhibition “all my life forever” is Anaïs Prouzet’s first solo exhibition. In his drawings, the artist translates life experiences, and among these experiences, those that seem to her the most intense, those that have to do with death, time, happiness, suffering … Faced with a violent world, brutal, savage and sometimes criminal, she seeks the possibility of transmitting feelings and “living” emotions. It is not an apology for cruelty, but only a representation of the enigma that lies between the two great mysteries of life and death.
She captures these moments and freezes them in scenes, in a realistic drawing or painting. Her main challenge is to recreate on paper, canvas or wood panels, the strength of these moments. As sacred figures are depicted in the paintings of the Old Masters, she strives to draw her loved ones and herself in the most expressive way possible. Francis Bacon said that “the force must be frozen in the subject”. A phrase that the artist makes her own in the light of the emotion contained in his ultra-realistic drawings.
Anaïs Prouzet’s work thus acts like a catharsis by seizing the anxieties of our contemporary time, “by slipping in it a light so dazzling that it makes each passing day easier, more tender and incredibly beautiful” confides us the artist.
