Designed to be exhibited among the high walls of the Center Tignous d’Art Contemporain in Montreuil, this project was carried out in residence at the Semaphore de la Pointe du Grouin, in Cancale, in the spring of 2021.
The base of these drawings are the rocks that surround the site and which overlook the sea, and time, with their high silent presence. Series of drawings made outside (Chaos, 76 x 56 cm), among the rocks, are the guides that allow us to consider large formats, first in 200 x 125 cm, then this triptych in very large format.
Made in India ink and salt on paper, these drawings try to restore the immersive scale of the place, the strength of the presence, the memory of the lived experience, the flow of time. These rocks are ascents, anchored in the ground and in the air, witnesses of the ages.
