Lives and works in Avignon, Bastien Faudon graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts d’Avignon in 2017 – DNSEP obtained with congratulations from the jury, Collection Lambert in Avignon.
“Bastien Faudon maintains a singular and multiple relationship with drawing, which he uses as his preferred medium. Drawings by scientific researchers, preparatory drawings, maps for travel or exploration are all part of installations that question the very nature of documents and the status of drawing in the exhibition space […]. Drawing inspiration from the construction of animal documentaries, which he hijacks, he brings science and art together to question our relationship with the environment, constantly shifting from the infinitely large to the infinitely small, and thus questioning the place of man and his representation”.
