Luxembourg Art Week, the international contemporary art fair in Luxembourg, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary from Thursday 21 November (VIP Day and Vernissage) to Sunday 24 November 2024. With over 22,000 visitors in 2023, Luxembourg Art Week has forged a solid reputation on the European art fair circuit thanks to its deep roots in the regional artistic and cultural landscape and its ongoing dialogue with neighbouring countries.
For this anniversary edition, Galerie Robet Dantec has chosen to devote its stand to light and image, with a selection of works on paper and sculptures.
Around a very large-format work (in Indian ink and salt on paper measuring 205 x 125 cm) by artist Yann Bagot, produced during a residency in Brittany, will be two new drawings by Rebecca Brueder (a volcanic eruption and an avalanche) accompanied by limestone from Mont Ventoux and pelite from the Pyrenees.
Opposite, new photographs by Leah Desmousseaux (winner of the CNAP public commission ‘Les Temps Changent’) show a mysterious alphabet emerging from the walls of the Pech Merle cave (National Prehistoric Centre). These photographs, lithographed by the artist herself in the darkness of her studio, are virtually unique works.
Digital art will also be present, with ‘Game over’ by Bastien Faudon, based on Conway’s ‘Game of Life’. The artist’s sculptures, inspired by science, will also be on show. He shares an interest in lines with artist Gaël Darras and his extraordinary geometric constructions.
