The Academy of Fine Arts encourages the practice of drawing, a fundamental gesture of artistic creation, by organizing the Pierre David-Weill Drawing Prize – Academy of Fine Arts each year. Created in 1971 by Pierre David-Weill, member of the Academy of Fine Arts, this competition is one of the most important in contemporary drawing. It is open to artists under the age of forty.
In 2021, the artist Anaïs Prouzet participated in the exhibition of the finalists of the Pierre David Weill Prize – Academy of Fine Arts, with one of her most emblematic drawings: an exceptional charcoal representing the portrait of a young girl.
