Thursday April 11 at 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n at 36 Rue Voltaire in Nantes<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Painter and engraver, born in 1977 in Taipei (Taiwan) into a family of artists and intellectuals, Yu Jen-chih studied Fine Arts at Tunghai University (Taiwan). In the early 2000s, he studied the history of cinema in France (University of Paris 1 Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne). He then settled permanently in France.<\/p>\n His works have been shown in several countries, notably in Bahrain, Colombia (Bogota), Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk Museum), Italy (Avellino), Georgia (Georgian National Music Center, Tbilisi) and Argentina (MACLA, La Plata), as well as in France. In 2017, the Kwang-Hua Information & Culture Center in Hong Kong dedicated a retrospective of his engraved work, entitled \u201cBetween titans and giants\u201d. Since 2020, he has been represented in Asia by Alisan Fine Arts Gallery (Hong Kong).<\/p>\n Alongside his artistic practice, Yu Jen-chih is also an art critic. He is the author of literary files in direct collaboration with Milan Kundera, Carlos Fuentes, Fernando Arrabal and Massimo Rizzante, and of written portraits of artists such as Mikha\u00efl Kobakhidz\u00e9, Amos Gitai, Patricia Erbelding, Tony Souli\u00e9, Bertrand Menguy and Zhu Xiao -mei.<\/p>\n In May 2011, INK Literary Monthly published \u201cInterior\/Exterior: Still Lifes and Landscapes\u201d, a work which brings together twenty of his most important texts on art, published between 2007 and 2008.<\/p>\n
