Friday 9th september – 06.00 p.m.<\/div> <\/div> <\/div> [vc_empty_space height=”20px”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]”Return from Dakar” is the story of a human and artistic encounter. That of three artists selected to represent their country of origin at the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Dakar last June, Dak’Art 22.<\/p>\n
Ilhem Ellouze, the Tunisian, Hyacinthe Ouattara, the Burkinab\u00e9, Didier Viod\u00e9, the Beninese, thus met for the first time in Dakar, far from France where they all three live. Beyond the budding friendship, each recognized in the work of the other resonances to their own questions and themes of work.<\/p>\n
With the desire to continue this artistic dialogue, Galerie Robet Dantec has therefore invited Hyacinthe Ouattara and Didier Viod\u00e9 to come and exhibit alongside Ilhem Ellouze, artist represented by the gallery.<\/p>\n
From the human crowd that accumulates in abstract and colorful forms on the canvases of Ilhem Ellouze, to the textile sculptures and drawings on paper of Hyacinthe Ouattara that give the impression of an amalgam of human cells seen under a microscope, to the figurative paintings on paper or free canvas by Didier Viod\u00e9 where men and women tell the contemporary story of anonymous people in our societies\u2026 these three artists are linked by a kind of evidence.<\/p>\n
