Stone not as a material, but as an object: its shape, its weight, its color, the curves it draws, its lines… The artist is interested in what it represents, a dumb world, an idea of body remaining with us, which is waiting for, a relation to melancholy, a poetic form linked to the idea of something perennial, inert, listening.

A form that undergoes and is not supposed to grow, which transforms into dissolution.

The idea of stone is something Rebecca Brueder associates with the object, one that is not attached to something, a solitary form which seems to evolve alone. She likes the idea of the so-called “stone”, these mineral objects that come in thousands of different features. It is from this perspective that she approaches forms or even informs them, and immerses in an inert material the idea of a displacement or a will.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_tabs style=”modern” shape=”square” spacing=”5″ active_section=”1″][vc_tta_section title=”solo exhibitions” tab_id=”1559740892983-68397675-89f3″][vc_column_text]2021
French Cultural Centre, Freiburg am Breisgau (D)
Château de la Falgalarié, Aussillion
Robet Dantec Gallery, Belfort[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”group exhibitions” tab_id=”1566508529710-738885ec-a711″][vc_column_text]2023
15th Edition of Arts Ephémères, Marseille
DDESSIN Paris, Gallery Robet Dantec, Paris

2022
Luxembourg Art Week, Gallery Robet Dantec, Luxembourg
Art On Paper, Galerie Robet Dantec, Bruxelles
Locus Solus, mutatis mutandis, Vidéochroniques, Marseille
Chasseurs de Tempêtes, CAC Passerelle, Brest
Chasseurs de Tempêtes, PORTA33, Madeira, Portugal
DDESSIN Paris, Gallery Robet Dantec, Le Molière, Paris

2021
Luxembourg Art Week, Gallery Robet Dantec, Luxembourg
La Montagne d’or, Château de Servières, Marseille
DDESSIN PARIS, with the Gallery Robet Dantec, Le Molière, Paris
Museum departmental, Gap

2020
Météorïdes, XHC Minor Street, Bordeaux
Émergences #2, Gallery Robet Dantec, Belfort
Château de la Falgalarié, aussillion
Gallery Réplique, Rodez
Frac Montpellier
Au-delà des falaises, Art Center of la Halle, Pont-en-Royans

2019
Biennial for young contemporary artists, Mulhouse 019, Parc des exposition, Mulhouse

2018
Visio, Le Parvis, Tarbes
Bim Bam Boum 2, Briqueterie de Nagen, Saint-Marcel-Paulel
Bim Bam Boum, Ecole supérieure d’Arts des Pyrénées, Tarbes[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”awards and residences” tab_id=”1559741494975-158455d0-4ded”][vc_column_text] 2020
Laureate from Post-production of FRAC Occitanie Montpellier (F)
Residency «Rouvrir le monde», DRAC Paca

2019
French Cultural Center prize of Freiburg-am-Breisgau (D)[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Collection” tab_id=”1684511127952-b4724370-ba78″][vc_column_text]

Galila’s P.O.C. collection, Bruxelles

[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][vc_custom_heading text=”art works” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”bg_color” bg_color_value=”#f2f2f2″ css=”.vc_custom_1563722577019{padding-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_basic_grid post_type=”royal_portfolio” max_items=”-1″ item=”masonryGrid_SlideFromLeft” grid_id=”vc_gid:1731686310269-67b8eec9378251f6d24c3794066d176c-2″ taxonomies=”63″][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1426″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”zoom” css_animation=”zoomIn”][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading source=”post_title” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]Rebecca Brueder was born in 1993.
